The Festival of Media Asia 2014

Professor Jerry Wind will be a speaker at the Festival of Media Asia 2014, held at the Capella Singapore Hotel from March 16-18, 2014. The Festival of Media Asia bills itself as “the premier festival in the Asian region where media leaders gather to exchange, experience and shape their industry.”

The previous year’s festival brought together over 600 attendees from media agencies, publishers, technology businesses and regional and global brands. It also hosted the Festival of Media Asia awards, which in 2013 honored 18 marketing campaigns throughout Asia for their creativity and effectiveness.

The Wharton Global Forum Paris 2013

Professor Jerry Wind spoke at the Wharton Global Forum in Paris: Talent, which was held on October 10 & 11, 2013. The forum’s theme, Talent, focused on the idea that business success is driven by the collective talents of the individuals in an organization. Talent management is integral to  a company’s growth, evolution and adaptation in times of crisis. Therefore, discovering and retaining good talent is challenging but important to companies of all sizes, across industries and around the globe.

The Wharton Global Forum Paris brought together over two dozen speakers from Wharton’s distinguished faculty & alumni, and from fields ranging from finance to cuisine, at the Westin Paris Vendôme. Professor Wind spoke on “Creating the Creative Organization,” in which he outlined 10 principles for nurturing creativity within an organization.

ANA Masters of Marketing – 2013 Annual Conference

Professor Jerry Wind led a  group discussion, shared ten stand-out topics and offered specific steps to prepare organization now and for the future as based on the Advertising 2020 program at the 2013 ANA Masters of Marketing Annual Conference held in Phoenix,   Three prominent industry thought leaders joined to help guide group discussion on practical ways to implement the needed changes — Cheryl Guerin, Executive Vice President, Group Executive, U.S. Marketing at MasterCard; Mark D’Arcy, Director of Global Creative Solutions, Facebook; and David Roman, Chief Marketing Officer, Lenovo. Opening and closing remarks by Nick Primola, Senior Vice President at ANA School of Marketing.

This session was a precursor to a future, more intensive full day workshop that the ANA and Wharton will be offering in March 2014.

Forbes 2013 CMO Summit

Professor Jerry Wind spoke at the 9th Annual Forbes 2013 CMO Summit from October 23  – 25, 2013 at The Mandarin Oriental in Miami, Florida. This premier peer-to-peer event  allows CMOs and agency executives across leading, diverse industries to participate in presentations and panel discussions on today’s marketing world. This year’s theme is The Transformational CMO: Marketer as Enterprise Value Creator. The theme  is the change in the practice of marketing management from cost shift to business growth driver and contributor to enterprise value creation. The Summit had attendees ranging from diverse industries to discuss this theme and share insights and current challenges.
